Thriving Community
Langholm has a thriving community with groups to suit everyone;  young and old, creative and artistic, active and energetic, environmentalists, social and educational.

Voluntary Groups
There are many voluntary groups in the Community helping to support others and improve the environment of the town and surrounding area.

Great Community
In 2003 Langholm  gained commended certificates in the finals of the Calor Gas Scottish Community of the Year Awards in the categories for: Older People, Young People, Environment and Business.

Community Centre
A great deal of activity goes on in the Community Centre and the Day Centre in Charles Street and visitors are always welcome.
