Langholm - The Beautiful Gateway to Scotland

The Moorland Project

The Moorland Education Project began in April 2009 with funding from Scottish Natural Heritage and LEADER Dumfries & Galloway for the post of Moorland Education Officer. The project aims to enhance the understanding within the community of man's role in the management of the Moorland and ensure the involvement of the community in the progress of the Langholm Moor Demonstration Project.

For more information, visit the Langholm Moorland website.

The Eskdale Prehistoric Trail

The signposted trail lets visitors head back to the rich prehistoric past of Eskdale. It takes in just nine of the hundreds of sites in this area. For full details visit the web pages on this site.
